This week, we’re reviewing a landing page about a new device released by Spotify. The gadget, called Car Thing, is a music player that you can use while driving.
Click here to open this page in a new tab.
What is great:
Landing pages are created for a specific purpose, not for presenting everything the company does. This is why the logo in the top left corner does not direct you to Spotify’s homepage, but rather to the intro section of this landing page.
It is clearly stated that Car Thing requires a Spotify Premium account. The offer is directed to a particular persona – a Spotify user who is also a driver.
We can see how exactly the device works in the section showing how Car Thing responds to voice commands. An additional plus is a video showing the road ahead.
What is not perfect yet:
While there is some information on how the dial works, there is no information on the benefits for the user.
Only after reading the whole landing page did I learn that Car Thing is currently available for the US only.
To sum up, I just wanted to let you know that I had a chance to try out this device and I loved the experience. However, the landing page could have been much better, especially in terms of justifying the price and presenting the additional items’ features.
Landing Page of the Week is a series where I review various examples of landing pages from the web.
