8 Essential Elements of Your First Landing Page

Do you want to make a landing page and create a highly-converting marketing campaign? You can use your IT department, but designing and coding every element can and will take time. Not to mention consultations, editing and approval. Under normal circumstances, all these steps are very important. When you have a complicated project, you want to be sure that everything will run smoothly and be as close to perfection as it can be.

There is nothing complicated about landing page creation, though, nor should there be. Why spend all this time waiting for someone to do copy, code and graphics? Do it yourself and place elements on a grid. What elements can you use and how can they help you in achieve your goals?

Make your sections smartable and let go of mundane manual tasks with Smart Sections! An easy way to manage bulk changes.

1. The Most Important Part – Drag & Drop

You don’t have to be a developer, you don’t have to have programming skills. Use our simple drag & drop interface and do everything yourself. You just simply shift elements on the screen, edit copy… and that’s it! See how easy it is:

2. The Second Most Important Part – A Form

This is a no-brainer. If you want to convert, a form is a must. This is a central element of your landing page, right next to the CTA button. You can think about forms as an extension of the CTA button. Instead of putting a short message on a limited space, you can use a form as a vehicle that gives you additional information. Things like a name and an email are what instantly comes to mind in this case, but what about questions that you can put on the page to deepen your knowledge about a user and their habits?

3. CTA Button

The CTA button can act as a replacement for the form, but it can also – and should! – be treated as a stand-alone option. The CTA is another central element of your landing page. Everything should be built around it and act like a “support group” for the leader. It’s like a soccer game – we have 11 players on the team but only one captain.

4.  Counter

This is an element that can be helpful in many situations. Do you want to promote an event? Place a counter in the first section of the page and countdown to the event. This will mobilize users to sign up quickly, they won’t want to miss the action.

5. Image

There is no such thing as a landing page without graphics. Images are an essential part of the user experience and an even more important part of a customer’s journey through the sales funnel. Imagine selling an ebook on a healthy and delicious vegan diet without an image of the cover surrounded by fruit. Impossible! Use the “Image” button from the builder’s left-side menu and convert!

6. Icons

Where there’s an image, there can be an icon. This is not a vital part of a landing page, but it can be helpful; to present an emotion, to talk to millennials that value imagery over text.

7. Video

This, for a change, is an element that you should use as often as possible. Video sells, it’s that simple. People are busy, they don’t want to go through a wall of text to discover what works best for them. There is no wall of text on a landing page, but there can be a video. Reinforce your copy with an irresistible statement.

8. Social Media Button

When you’re done – share. Put social media buttons on the landing page to give people an opportunity to express their passions and inform others about your offer. This is as simple as taking a box from the left-side menu and dragging it onto the grid.

If you find yourself short on time and don’t want to figure out how to place everything yourself (which is, let us remind you, very easy), you can use one of our 150+ landing page templates. There is a large collection of slick designs, ready for you to edit. Thanks to our team, you can prepare your desired landing page even faster.

There is one last option. If you don’t want to make a landing page from scratch and don’t want to use templates, you can also ask for an import of your previous project. That way you can keep all your landing pages and leads under one roof and bend them to your needs with our intuitive platform.

Your first landing page can be very costly and time-consuming. Why not cut the cost dramatically, without sacrificing vision and quality? Use our landing page platform and eliminate the wild goose chase for leads.
